Ground-Based Arboriculture – PUWER require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that Chippers, Stumpgrinders, Mobile Elevated Works Platforms (MEWPS), clearing Saws, Brushcutters and Trimmers are operated only by employees who have received adequate training in their safe use.  The Regulations also apply to the self-employed.
